Well, finally became winter up here.

Some plugs for your early release snow day.
Only Sunshine today, which is a bit ironic considering the weather we had today. Number 18 is up. Expect a few updates this weekend, more Sunshine, a new Tales of WoW, and some more Ben Byrd. It seems to the Piper is a bit upset that the Tales of WoW are not is the correct order they were intially published, we breast buds, send me a list of the order your want them in, and I will change them around.

Some More Beatles.
Well we are in '65, at the release of Rubber Soul. Some events that occurred that year? Ringo's first marriage, 56,000 show up to see them at Shea Stadium (first outdoor rock concert ever), released one film and 4 albums, the last being Rubber Soul in December of '65. In addition the Beatles each recieved their MBE which caused a bit of a political backlash as MBE were usually conferred to military veterans and civic leaders. It resulted in some older MBE recipients to return their MBE (ironically something Lennon did in the the 70's). They also became recreational drug users, most of them doing marijuana pretty regularly, and some of their first experiments with LSD. Another influence on this album, and even more for the next albums.

As for drugs, all the Beatles were big supporters of legalizing Marijuana (McCartney is still to this day) and for mind expansion. They were as big users as any other rock and roll star of that time period, with only Lennon getting really hard core with Heroin later in life.

How's the weather.
So lets see. In New England this year it has been mostly temperate. Two small snowfalls, but mostly in the 40's to 50's. February got cold, and was consistently under 30. Now March has been warm somedays close to 70. So yesterday it was in the mid 50's. Today, we have at least 3" of snow. It was cold, mid 20's, and windy. It is sleeting kind of right now.

Pet Food Recall.
Of course if you trying to rid yourself of said pet . . . . .

Carol Burnette should be saying "Thank you for reminding people that I am still alive!"

Toyi: No, it is from the animated film Yellow Submarine (circa 1968 - 69), if you have never seen it, go out and get it now. You will enjoy it. It is like an LSD trip.

Angryman: Agree, personally I thought she was dead.
