First, I just wanted to point out, that the album I am advertisting is 1, it is a 2000 release and contains all the number one hits (US) The Beatles had. If you want a OK Beatles primer, this is a good one to get, especially since much of their early hits were reissued over and over in multple album. I Want to Hold Your Hand is the Beatles first US number 1, 18 months after the album was released and huge UK hit. The Beatles had a lot of trouble getting played US in 62 - 63 (yeah imagine that). The US airwave were dominated by doo wop, soul, Phil Spector, Elvis, and soft ballads. This "raggedly dressed, sloppy haired" garage guitar was kind of outdated. Several Beatles release were passed intially for radio play, Please, Please Me, She Loves You, and Love Me Do, were all passed for major airplay. According to Dick Clark, She Love You was tested for American Bandstand and the teenage audience basically erupted in laughter at their haricuts.

Somehow Brain Epstein, manager extrodinaire convinced Ed Sullivan in November of '63, to book The Beatles for three shows in February of '64. This was to time the American release of I Want to Hold Your Hand, which was in January. This generated some buzz for She Loves You. In December, a CBS Evening News broadcast showed a clip of frenzied fans in England, at a Beatles performance (which they were performing I Want to Hold Your Hand). This caused request to come in for the song, and a DC are radio station got a import of it, started playing it forcing Capitol records to release the single early. In turn, and bunch of East Coast DJ's began playing the record, and by February, well, we all seen the images before (In fact, I have a hard time listening to this song with out the screaming in it).

Did some of the names on this list surprise you? You can do a wiki search on any of these guys and it will give you the known caused of death. And this is only the famous guys, guys who got on National TV. Imagine the local schlubs, they guys in these small feds.

Is this wrestling dirty little secret? Many of these guys died of drug overdoses, and heart attacks. There are suicides in there, car accidents, a couple deaths in the ring. Look at the lifestyle. Yeah wrestling fixed, but the physical toll is immense. Many of these guys work 300 days a year (that more than most people), drive place to place, use painkillers and uppers to get by, and we haven't even metioned steroids. Many of these guys tipped 300 lbs too. Shouldn't someone be responsible for this? If these were say NFL players, would things be more out in the open?

I just find this unbelievable.
