A couple, first 8 1/2 By Eleven strip 512 is loaded, and this one comes with a side of extra corn. Also, Sunshine number 20 is up, and may I add, Sears; send me a check for this one.

You are listening to . . .
Nowhere Man
, by the Beatles, another gem off of Rubber Soul. Yet another classic Beatles song that never hit number 1, though it did hit number 3 in the US. Nowhere Man is rather famous for not being about love, romance, and relationships, like much of their early stuff was, and the beginning of Lennon's (who wrote the majority of this song) philisophical lyrics.

Many of the Beatles fans when hearing the song commented they felt it was about their Parent's Generation, and their lack of an open mind. . . a very interesting allegory. There is also some thought out there that this is about one of several Beatles friends or associates (perhaps more on that tomorrow), Lennon however stated in a 1980 Playboy interview the song was about himself; mainly about writer's block, giving up, and then this thought of a "nowhere man" popping into his mind after a bit of a rest.

This song is also a interesting juxtaposition of old and new Beatles. The Harmonzing, the general guitar work, and simple drum rythmns. Of course the new is the lyrics, and the middle guitar solo. It is also an interesting lead into later similar style songs like Eleanor Rigby and For No One on later albums. Again it shows the lead in to Revolver, Sgt. Pepper, and even their most experimental album, The Beatles (or the White Album, which after listening to these albums pretty extensively over the past few weeks is officially, Malach's favorite Beatle Album.)

The Forever Stamp
Brilliant idea from the US Post Office, I don't know about you, I am buying a bunch in May.

Crap
Just like most award shows.

Stamp out Malaria
Nice, this will be a huge benefit to third world countries someday. Perhaps as significant as wiping out Malaria and Small Pox.

Hey Joey Porter.
Nice to see a change of scenery didn't take the asshat out of you.

I fully support this
Too long have certain team taken advantage of pass interference. Coaches on the current competition committee have all but taken defense out of the game.

Does this really surprise anyone?
So David Wells has type II diabetes, and he cut alcohol out of his diet . . . I bet there are a bunch of bars in the San Diego area that will be going out of business soon..

So remind me
NEVER fly British Airways. Who wants to bet she was Indian, and this was some revenge for the whole Indian Independence thing.

NO WAY
Pro Wrasslers involved with Steroids?!?

I see . .
some nerds have a REAL LOT of time on their hands.

We still use Confederate money where I come from. Watch your words, Yank.

Toyi, Why?

Now boys, no need to restart a 150 year old war.

I put a comment up this morning, but it's not there. Oh well, I'll try to recreate my brillant comment:

David Wells, who cares? Now his wife is smoking, HOT! Joey, is it the Shemp factor?

I wear this homeless guy's socks.

Wow, I guess Saddam is still alive!
