OH MY GOD! THEY KILLED STARBUCK!

3.05.2007

YOU BASTARDS!
Plugs first. Quite a few of them too. Strip 507 of 8 1/2 by Eleven is loaded, for some reason Jess wants to continue to discuss God. Also a new Fetus-X has been loaded in which Eric wants you to meet him and his fetus friend. Also, Friday Night RPG Cartoons has returned (and also been redesigned), with episode 1.7. Let the hilarity ensue. Also interestingly found out that the D20 version of Call of Cthulhu is now a collectors item, and can't be found cheaper than $80. Evidently Wizards only had a year long contract to produce the game, and it was never renewed. Well Malach has one. The Deck of Many Things has also had several updates, and is still looking for contributers. I have a possible publisher to make a series of this, if it takes off, so sign up.

Also, the Cap'n blows open a conspiracy at the WoW.

Yes, I was sick.
No, I was not hungover, Malach rarely drinks. It started at about 2AM Sunday morning, I vomited about a gallon of crap (mostly nuts from the previous nights, RPG session), it tore my throat also, and I spit out some blood, then began to throw up every half hour to hour until about 8PM (though it slowed down after about 3PM). I called in sick this morning, but feel close to 100% now. Took the day off from work and alot of other work done. And the blog is back.

Battlestar Galactica.
Malach is a huge fan of Battlestar Galactica, and like Heroes never misses it. Well, Kara "Starbuck" Thrace was evidently killed off last night. Very surprising, but I don't think she is really dead. Theories: 1. She ejected at the last second, and is on the planet trying to find her spiritual destiny or 2. She's a cylon or cylon experiment.

You are Listening too . ..
A Hard Day's Night, off the album of the same name, by of course, The Beatles. The early Beatles catalogue is a bit hard follow as Capital released albums differently in the US and UK. Many of their early UK hits were released almost 2 years before they were released in the US, and their first few albums had multiple pressing, with multiple album covers, and multiple different song lineups. Evidently it was some type of effort to cathc the US audience up with The Beatles. A Hard Day's Night is no exception. Though released about the same time, the UK version is slightly different the the US version, but it is about this time, the summer of 64, that UK and US albums they became close to the same release(they official were for Rubber Soul in '65). It is acually pretty amazing that from March of 1963 to December of 1965 The Beatles had 15 albums of original music counting the US and UK releases (10 alone in the US) and at points they were releasing as many as 7 albums in one year of mostly new stuff.

A Hard Day's Night, is their 4th US album, released only 5 months after their first US release. Even so, you see a bit of a maturing in this record, from their bubble gummy McCartney -Lennon lyrics of the first few albums, this song explores a bit of their youth in the rough and tumble Liverpool, and definite experimentation of musicality, with Harrison guitar chords getting some crunch and some prominence, and a big increase in the talent of Ringo Starr; a very underratted drummer. Listen to this drumbeat, reminds me a bit of John Bonham and Led Zepplin (Bonham and Starr were very good friends). You can hear some newer influences in The Beatles in this album, perhaps most notable Phil Spector and his Wall of Sound. You also begin to see some of the bands get into the music scene that the Beatles started to open for them. The Stones released their debut album in '64, The Mamas and Papas began recording, and so did MC5 (yeah I know this shocks a lot of you, MC5 is a surprising musical band that began in the mid 60's, a proto punk band). You also began to hear more experimentation from groups like The Beach Boys.

My name is, my name is, my name is
Dicka-Dick Cheney. Yeah, Dick Cheney news is not as much fun as Britney or Anna Nicole.

Hey, ask them in New Hampshire.
Moose happen to be the most dangerous animal in New England!

So this explains the horns on the three year old's head.
I was thought she was just the spawn of Satan.

Another good pick up for the Pats.
Wes Welker is a clone of Troy Brown, only much younger and more talented than Brown was at his age, now if this Randy Moss rumor has any legs. Malach analyzing the Pats offseason soon.

The Mood of Red Sox Nation.
You the man John Lester.

Malach's Quote of the Day.
A special one, a longer ATHF movie trailer

I am Malach and look at all these rumors, surrounding me everyday.

It seems like the Pats gave up a little too much for him Welker. I love the Jets getting Jones from the Bears!

Look at Welker this way. He is Troy Brown, only younger and more athletic, the same Troy Brown who is the all time Pats, leading receiver.

As for Jones, never a big fan of his, to me he is a complemetary back, who needs another back to be good, and there ain't on the NY.

Pats have this divsion locked next year, they win by at least three games.
