Somewhat back on track

4.16.2007

First, plugs.
The only one today is a new Fetus-X in which Millikin explores the race war.

The Finger.
Feeling a bit better, still uncomfortable typing, so blog will still be a little worse than usual. I did, work a bit on The Wraith today with the fake holiday and all. I will get him finished by the end of the week.

The Beatles.
Again, involves a bit of research and typing, especially since I will be starting Sgt. Pepper, so we are still holding off on that right now.

The Holiday?
Yeah, today is Patriot's Day in MA. We had our massive Nor'Easter, tree toppled across the street, but no power outage. The Boston Marathon was today in about the crappiest weather ever for the event, though I do believe it snowed one year.

USA #1
So we broke two records today, deadliest mass shooting ever in the US, as well as the deadliest school shooting. USA #1.

Seriously, this whole thing is a messed and really bungled by local law enforcement. They are still not completly sure if it was one or two shooters. Should of locked the school down after the first incident.

Wow.
Another reason not to fly NorthWest.

The Mood of Red Sox Nation.
This pitching staff is going to be something special. Mood: Estatic.

OK.
Are there really still people who own bidets? And yeah, I would be pretty pissed if it caught fire.

Malach's Quote of the Day.

I am Malach and I am the lizard baron.

NorthWest is the worse airline ever ever!

On VT, I have to say that the local police enforcement did what they could. They had another "person of interest" in custody for the dorm shooting, & the dorm was completely locked down. The dorm shooting looked more like a domestic shooting than a rampage at that time. Meanwhile people were already in class or heading towards class. It's a really big campus with 25,000 students.
This shows that semi-automatic guns should not be legal. I have no problems with shotguns or rifles for hunting or home protection, but no one needs these types of guns.

I think that we need to wait until all the facts get in before we nail the Blacksburg cops to the wall. From what I heard on NPR this morning, everything pointed to a domestic dispute and things being over and done w/when the next round broke out.
I'm not saying that more couldn't have been done, I'm just saying that they may not have totally bungled.

As for guns, yeah, it is a major issue in this country, but it is also a "right". Obviouly most people have no need for a fully automatic weapon, but a semi?

Semi auto are just the modern guns. A Glock one of the weapons used in a semi auto handgun. The big problem with the glock is that in holds 18 bullets, and even though it does not multifire, you basically just have to pull the trigger quickly for every shot you want.

As for the police. I agree it is tough. The School is a town, and they don't shut down a town for one shooting.

I don't blame the policy, yet I always tought, I noticed in US there is not plenty of security in public places or potential crime bringer businesses and I mean armed security.

In Central America where crime is handy, every single business hires security to protect the business and their customers to, yeah even restaurants do.

Look here, not even banks have security, helloooo a banks!!!

Guns don't kill people, I kill people
